Rooster Henhouse
A farm at the foot of Mount Kaikoma in Hokuto, Yamanashi. Rooster Henhouse is the home of TSUKUYOMISAI, bringing music, food and camping into the outdoors.
We chose Rooster Henhouse for TSUKUYOMISAI because we wanted to step a little outside everyday life and create a place where people could meet.
Here in Hokuto, surrounded by mountains, music plays and fires burn. Someone cooks, someone brews coffee. We drink, dance, talk and sleep.
By morning, the sun rises again. Coffee fills the air, and you find yourself sharing the view with someone you had never met before yesterday.
TSUKUYOMISAI brings together a wide range of music and more than 30 shops and makers.
But perhaps the most important part of this festival is not only who you see or what you buy.
We want everyone to spend their time as they like: stopping for a sound they happen to hear, gathering around good food, or talking to a stranger beside the fire.
Those moments come together to create something that exists only across these two days.
Guests, vendors, organisers, artists and DJs can all take pride in what they do while stepping beyond those roles. We believe this can be a festival where everyone who gathers becomes a creator.
